Each 2021 1 oz Reverse Proof Solomon Islands Silver Giants of the Galapagos Islands Whale Shark Coin is available to you with a presentation card. This card includes a protective space for the coin and a trifold design that showcases a wealth of information on the Galapagos Islands, the whale shark, and the series at large. The front and back of the card also have details artwork capturing the whale shark in its natural habitat.
All of the coins in the Solomon Islands Giants of the Galapagos Series have colorized reverse design visuals and a unique serial number. That serial number is engraved on the obverse field of the coins and presents as a number between 0001 and 2500. The coins are considered shaped coins because the form of the whale shark on the reverse exceeds the normal bounds of the coin, giving a sense of real-life appearance. As reverse proof coins, each of these specimens has mirrored design elements overlaying frosted fields for unique visual contrast.
