Great "Potty Dollar" using an 1877-S Trade Dollar as the host coin
This type of engraved coin gets its name from how it was engraved in a similar style on a Hobo nickel. Most "potty" coins have Miss Liberty converted to a naked or almost naked woman, sitting on a chamber pot.
Potty Dollars are even more desirable than Hobo Nickels as far as re-engraved coins are concerned as them and box dollars are the epitome of the re-engravers art! Scarce and unusual.
